We outpaced some severe weather on our ride up to Columbus, as a tornado leveled several homes in Athens just hours after we left. Our thoughts go out to those who lost their homes.
Our trek up Route 33 to Columbus was smooth sailing. It's a colorful stretch of road at this time of year. Today marked the end of the Appalachian Mountains, which we have been biking through all week. Although they were beautiful to look at, I'm not sad to have flatter land ahead.
We're taking a few days off in Columbus to visit Dan's family and figure out our route for the next few weeks. We interviewed Skeptic, a local rap artist, so check back soon for more info.
