Urbana, Ohio
Country Haze, 90s.

Back on the road today, peddling through The Buckeye State, also known as The Heart of it All.

You can't choreograph this...

Urbana, Ohio is home to the best hamburger joint in the country, as far as Bandcycle is concerned.  We stopped by the spot, Crabills, for lunch today.  We all had our director's suggestion of five burgers with everything on them.  They were definitely great, but did not mix well with riding.  Maj puked.

I'd say this was our first day of real country riding.  Once we got out of Columbus the majority of it was on winding roads through corn fields.  Aside from the odors, this type of riding is much more pleasant.  It's also faster when you're not having to stop at a red light every few hundred yards.  There really is not a whole lot to report about the trip out to Urbana.  Lots of cows and corn.  It was pretty flat too.  That's always nice.

I feel like we should have more to say in these posts than just yaking about the terrain and the ride, but the reality of the situation is that there normally isn't a whole lot more to say.  A lot of the interesting things are focused on in the video content (we don't want to give TOO much away on the blog).  We ride for around six hours a day, and listen to music or podcasts or audio books.  I finished Chuck Klosterman's "Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs" in about two days.  I have now moved on to David Cross' "I Drink for a Reason," a delectably hilarious book that Maj has also started listening to.  You'd like to think that it's a constant adventure out there, but for the most part we're just rolling along at around 15 m.p.h. watching corn field after corn field pass by.  It can get mind numbing.
